It felt good to be home. Annabeth was at my side walking over to the Big House where we now had a room, just us. No mom, no Paul, perfect. The room was not that big, but it was cozy, with a queen sized bed pushed against the wall, an empty shelf (witch I knew would soon be filled with Annabeth's books) a small window, a dresser, with a small mirror hanging above it, there were two doors, one leading to a bathroom, the other a closet. And I guess Chiron knew about the baby, because next to the bed was a crib, not meant for a boy or a girl, just white.
Annabeth just dropped her bags and sat down on the bed. I sat next to her, and she smiled. "cozy"
"yeah" I replied I glanced down at her stomach, I found myself doing that lately.
"what?"
"I know we just got here, but we should go and check what gender it is"
"maybe tomorrow" she sighed. I could tell she was tired, it had been a long day of packing, and we picked up dinner on the way up, and the sun was set outside.
"okay" I agreed "for now lets sleep" we both changed onto our p.j.s and climbed under the covers.
I had not had a dream in a long time, but now here it came. all i saw was black, but I heard a faint scream. Then I saw a grave, but I could not read the writing on the tomb stone.
I woke with a start Annabeth turned over "what is it seaweed brain?" I glanced over at the alarm clock 4:29 am
"nothing babe" I lied "just go back to sleep. she didn't argue. I carefully wrapped my arms around her, careful not to touch her stomach and fell back asleep without having another dream.
